IJPW World Crown 2016 - Night Nine

[The scene opens with an aerial shot of a studio set. There are two men sitting behind a desk. One is Yo Kurasawa - the legendary commentator, notorious pervert, and current Vice President of Talent Relations and Head Booker for Iron Japan. Next to him is Taka Shimura - another veteran voice in puroresu. A video screen is behind them.]

KURASAWA: Welcome to the English language highlight show for Iron Japan Pro Wrestling! It was World Crown – Night Nine and our second night at Budokan this weekend. We came around the corner tonight and we're going full speed into the Tokyo Dome tomorrow night!

SHIMURA: Everything is set after tonight. We determined who will fight in the World Crown Final and for a shot at the World title. We determined who will challenge for the IJPW World Tag Team Championship tomorrow night.

KURASAWA: Contenders were determined and rivalries heated up. There were some surprises too.

SHIMURA: The evening started with a dark match. Jackie Walters took on IJPW Dojo student Atsumori Nakadai. The referee was Toyoko Toshikura. Walters won with a knockout kick to the head at 6:40. Nakadai has taken a beating this week. First Albert Doxin beat him into a bloody pulp. Then Jackie Walters kicked his head off.

Non-Tournament Singles Match

Lainey Boyle vs. Satomi Asano

KURASAWA: “The Boston Bitch” Lainey Boyle is set to take on Muffin Vanderburg at the Tokyo Dome tomorrow night. Satomi Asano was given the chance to beat Boyle before her big day at the big dome. She told the press how she wanted to badly impress in order to break into the IJPW Television Championship match. The referee for this match was Kanzaburo Outakara.

Non-Tournament Singles Match

Danjuro Komatsuzaki vs. Miyazaki Bokkai

KURASAWA: IJPW Dojo Master Danjuro Komatsuzaki is locked into a feud with England's Markie Bristow. The two will collide at the Tokyo Dome. Tonight, Danjuro took on Miyaki Bokkai – another competitor who was set on getting into the TV title match. The referee for this match was Tashiaki Suzuki.

Non-Tournament Singles Match

Paul Cannon vs. Big Ugly

KURASAWA: Big Ugly was on the losing end of an instant classic against John Scroggs in a second round bloodbath. “The Hardcore Lumberjack” Paul Cannon was eliminated from the World Crown tournament after losing to Ricky Doyle on Night One. These two hardcore wrestlers knew what was on the night – a chance to be the first Television Champion and to win it at the Tokyo Dome. Mabuchi Hida was the referee for this match.

Eight Person Tag Team Match

Nate Narwin, Isamu Shinagami, Killer Komukai, and Jun Hageshii vs. Trista Capra, El Loco, KANNON, and Konosuke Usami

KURASAWA: Narwin, Shinagami, and Capra already ensured themselves a chance to be the first IJPW Television Champion before tonight. Killer Komukai, Jun Hageshii, El Loco, KANNON, and Konosuke Usami all had a chance to get into that match – either with an impressive performance or by pinning or submitting someone in this match who was already in the TV title match.

SHIMURA: The match started with Narwin and Loco in the ring. We touched on their history last night. Narwin and Capra are feuding now. Hageshii has made Loco tap out twice. He actually eliminated him from the World Crown tournament. Then there's Killer and Usami, who had a feud at the end of last year that Usami won. Killer's rise to the top has stagnated while Usami keeps moving up. There's one odd inclusion, though... KANNON - “The King of the Dark World.”

KURASAWA: The official for this match was Nanako Fujioka.

POST-MATCH INTERVIEW

[Everyone is standing around after the bell. The dojo students jumped in early to make sure this didn't turn into a widespread brawl... but they didn't expect any teammates to turn on each other! KANNON grabs Usami at ringside and throws him hard into the rails! He sinks him with some solid kicks to the head before choking him! The students try to get him away, and this allows Narwin, Capra, and Loco to start fighting each other! Hageshii and Komukai begin to brawl in the ring! Shinagami clears the ropes and lands on both of Narwin and Capra at ringside!]

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] It's chaos! How are we going to get this under control?!

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] They got KANNON off of Usami, but now The King of the Dark World is attacking the dojo students!

[KANNON whips Jyoji Jumanji into the ring apron. Jumanji screams out as his back hits hard, but that's soon the least of his pain as KANNON spits a fireball into his face!]

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] That's Jyoji Jumanji! KANNON just spit fire in his face! He caught all of it!

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] We'll hear these screams in our nightmares!

[The other students back off KANNON, but Usami jumps at him and tackles him onto the floor! Additional security and medics flood the scene to get control of the situation and tend to the severely burned dojo student, who clutches his face on the floor and screams.]

Six Person Tag Team Match
Curt Fleischer and Imperial (AKIO and Kuni Hishida) vs. Noble Power (Nobuyoki Katsushika and Sakura Shizuka) and Fabulous Adrian Bagglio

KURASAWA: IJPW World Wrestling Champion Nobuyoki Katsushoka was disappointed to be eliminated from the World Crown tournament last night. While he was happy to team with his girlfriend, neither of them were too thrilled to team with Fabulous Adrian Bagglio. FAB stole Kuni Hishida's thong and then beat her last night. After carrying out an assault, FAB accepted Kuni's challenge to fight again tomorrow night, but FAB said that this is more about AKIO. He wants to get rid of Hishida so he can have AKIO to himself. Not in the ring, but the bedroom!

SHIMURA: Imperial have been replaced by Noble Power as the number one puroresu couple. Let's not forget that Katsushika eliminated Hishida in the first round. Add Curt Fleischer to the mix. He's lost to Katsushika twice, but he beat up Shizuka here at Budokan last night.

KURASAWA: Kuni Ariwara was the referee for this contest.

#1 Contenders For IJPW World Tag Team Championship

Ultraviolence Union (Ricky Holt and Teiji Shintaro) vs. Mallory and Mercy (Mallory Northway and Mercy Monroe)

KURASAWA: “The General” Ricky Holt has been vocal about his team's exclusion from the World Tag Team title tournament. Tonight, him and Teiji “The Terror” Shintaro finally had their chance to earn a shot. The Ultraviolence Union took on “The Centerfold” Mallory Northway and “The Queen” Mercy Monroe.

SHIMURA: You couldn't ask for more different people. Holt accused Northway and Monroe of not being “real wrestlers” because of their cross-platform success. Holt was shaped by the brutal winters of Minneapolis. He can do it all in the ring, but he loves to fight and loves ultraviolence. Teiji is an underground deathmatch legend, coprophile, and a genuine psychopath who used to terrorize the Tokyo docks. He comes out in his bloody underwear and covered in shit. Mallory and Mercy come from the warm Arizona desert and have been in films and magazines.

KURASAWA: But those ladies are damn good at wrestling, Taka. The referee for this match was Masanori Katayanagi.

World Crown 2016 Semi-Final Match

Dave Manton vs. Riddick

KURASAWA: Dave Manton broke two necks in the tournament to get to the semi-final. Tonight he faced a man who is no stranger to breaking bones and even ending lives. Manton has fought many people in his life, from bar room floors and hockey rinks, all the way to the IJPW ring. But he's never fought a man with the track record and legacy of Riddick. He's never fought in a match this big before tonight. Cassidy Reischer was the official for this match and, as you can remember, Riddick attacked her after losing to Konosuke Usami at the Grand Opening.

World Crown 2016 Semi-Final Match

Suda Tsukasa vs. John Scroggs

KURASAWA: The Korakuen Hall magic followed Tsukasa two kilometers to Budokan. The nation stood together in solid support of Tsukasa heading into this match with John Scroggs – the man who eliminated Tsukasa's good friend and World Champion, Nobuyoki Katsushika, from the World Crown tournament last night. Scroggs established himself as the new favorite of the tournament. Could Tsukasa continue this fairytale run and defeat the Baltimore bruiser in his Indian summer? The referee was Nene Hishikawa.

World Crown 2016 Final
Riddick vs. John Scroggs

KURASAWA: How did you do on your tournament predictions tonight?

SHIMURA: I had Riddick and Scroggs tonight. 2-0! I'm now 41-19-1 in overall tournament predictions.

KURASAWA: Who wins the World Crown Final?

SHIMURA: John Scroggs. Is it me, or has Riddick looked a little slow towards the end of this tournament? All those brutal matches had to have taken a toll on his body over the years, and this will be his sixth match in ten days. Scroggs is bigger. He moves faster. Riddick will need to turn up the violence and dig deep if he wants to beat Scroggs tomorrow. Also, Scroggs has beat better opposition in this tournament than Riddick. I think he has the momentum on his side.

KURASAWA: It's going to be a historic night at the Tokyo Dome tomorrow. Two of the best gaijins of all time in the main event to determine the first World Crown holder and the number one contender to the World Wrestling Championship at International Incident. The World Tag Team titles are on the line. We'll determine the first Television Champion. There are some scores to be settled. But that does it for us tonight at Budokan. For Taka Shimura, I'm Yo Kurasawa. Good night from Tokyo!

[FADE TO BLACK.]
