IJPW World Crown 2016 - Night Seven

[The scene opens with an aerial shot of a studio set. There are two men sitting behind a desk. One is Yo Kurasawa - the legendary commentator, notorious pervert, and current Vice President of Talent Relations and Head Booker for Iron Japan. Next to him is Taka Shimura - another veteran voice in puroresu. A video screen is behind them.]

KURASAWA: Welcome to the English language highlight show for Iron Japan Pro Wrestling! I'm Yo Kurasawa, and next to me is Taka Shimura. World Crown – Night Seven was our seventh straight night here at Korakuen Hall. A knock out the full third round tonight before packing everything up and moving the World Crown proceedings to Budokan for the next two nights. Then, Taka, we're going to the Tokyo Dome for Night Ten.

SHIMURA: The sixteen competitors tonight couldn't afford to look that far ahead. We had many great match ups on the main card, but our night started with a dark match between Kuni Hishida and IJPW Dojo student Nayoko Kon. Tashiaki Suzuki was the referee. Kon brought a singapore cane into the match after five minutes. Both wrestlers hit each other with it. There was a near fall for Hishida after bridging a northern lights suplex at around 9:30. Kon almost got one of her own with a running forearm after 13:30. Hishida got the pin at 13:57 with La Esparda. Kon had gotten many crown knee strikes in the match, but Hishida persevered.

KURASAWA: After the match, Hishida got on the microphone and very briefly mentioned her match with Fabulous Adrian Bagglio at Budokan tomorrow night. She said he would regret his invasion of privacy and tomorrow night is when she gets back to her winning ways on the main cards.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Albert Dixon vs. Suda Tsukasa

KURASAWA: Albert Dixon has offended people all of his career with dozens of controversial statements on social media. His bigotry and racism has become well-known since touching down in Japan. The former college football offensive tackle and ex-cop from Arkansas defeated Lainey Boyle in the first round and received a bye to the third round due to there being an odd number in the second round draw. After his dark match on Night Five, where he battered and bloodied IJPW Dojo student Atsumori Nakadai in a one-sided affair, he ran down Japan with ignorant remarks. Tonight, he took on Suda Tsukasa and the wave of support behind him.

SHIMURA: Dixon is a bigger man physically, but Tsukasa has become one of the biggest stories in the World Crown tournament. The man has turned back the clock.

KURASAWA: The country was heavily behind Tsukasa - “The King of Korakuen Hall.” No man has won more on this ground. With World Crown moving to Budokan tomorrow, there was talk that this could be Tsukasa's last match in Korakuen regardless of the result. Did Tsukasa have more Korakuen Hall magic in him, or did the big and offensive gaijin put a tragic end to this fairytale? Masanori Katayanagi was the official for this match.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Freddy Deeds vs. Konosuke Usami
KURASAWA: Freddy Deeds pissed off a lot of people last night when he danced around the ring after breaking Nobuo Shimizu's neck. Konosuke Usami has quickly gained a following and he told his army of new admirers that he would avenge Shimizu. Jimmy Erikson was the referee for this match.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Muffin Vanderburg vs. Ricky Doyle

KURASAWA: Muffin Vanderburg is new to Japan, but her popularity increases after every match. The fans love her smile and respect her in-ring ability. She was attacked in the locker room after her match with Jackie Walters last night by the Deadly Three – Lolly, Lainey, and Lorie. They hit her with a chair and busted her open. It was a vicious beat down that couldn't have happened at a worse time. She had 24 hours to recover before facing IJPW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Doyle – one of the baddest men to come out of Belfast.

SHIMURA: If you know anything about Belfast, then you know that speaks volumes about Ricky Doyle and his brother, Ronnie.

KURASAWA: Toyoko Toshikura was the official for this match.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Muffin is going back up the entryway to the locker room when the Lolly Lea, Lainey Boyle, and Lorie Koenig jump out and attack! Lainey is holding a steel chair.]

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] They're attacking her again?!

[The other two throw Muffin into the rails and kick her before holding her up, allowing “The Boston Bitch” to kick her in the face before cocking back and cracking the chair into her skull!]

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] What a sickening sound! Muffin's cut from last night is opened up!

[The dojo students finally get in there and separate everyone, but Lainey isn't done. She goes over to the ringside announcers and grabs a microphone.]

BOYLE: I'm tired of hearing about Muffin Vanderburg! Hey Muffin, do you think anyone here cares about your positive personality or the fact you stood up to Hojo? No! These people are just a bunch of horny little nerds. When Lolly, Lorie, and I watched Shimizu break Nicki's arm, we laughed. We can't stand Charm Explosion. Now we're going to put you out of action so you and Nicki can spend time together on the sidelines. I'm going to be the one who will make sure that happens. Muffin, you and me at the Tokyo Dome! I want the biggest crowd to watch me bust up that pretty face.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
AKIO vs. Dave Manton

KURASAWA: AKIO suddenly had a lot on his plate going into the third round. Not only because World Crown gave him an opportunity to return to the top spot he fell from so quickly, but Fabulous Adrian Bagglio has gone after his life partner, Kuni Hishida. That was touched on earlier. AKIO had to regain his focus because he was up against a tough beer-and-hockey Canadian in Dave Manton, who broke Sandra Paisley's neck with a jumping piledriver on Night One and defeated Raul El Aguila on Night Five. Kanzaburo Outakara was the referee for this match.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Danjuro Komatsuzaki vs. Riddick

KURASAWA: IJPW Dojo Master Danjuro Komatsuzaki allowed Ricky Holt to train at the dojo back in August and September of last year. Holt was just a hot shot rookie on a Japanese tour with the American promotion he's contracted to. He had a war of words with Riddick in the press, and this was before Riddick got the NYPD to attack him. Now Holt and Riddick make up 2/3's of the Ultraviolence Union and Holt hasn't been shy in calling out Danjuro for his nationalism and xenophobia. It's fitting that a man of Danjuro's viewpoints drew Riddick – a gaijin who became the heart and soul of Rising Sun Wrestling and a true hardcore wrestling pioneer.

SHIMURA: I still don't get how we acknowledge Danjuro's viewpoints and we still have a man like that as the Dojo Master.

KURASAWA: Well look at all the fucked up shit Riddick has done in his illustrious career. We're still booking him and paying him big money. Iron Japan Pro Wrestling isn't supposed to be a safe and pleasant place. People do and say things here whether anyone else likes it or not. The official for this match was Nanako Fujioka.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Jun Hageshii vs. El Loco

KURASAWA: These are the kind of matches Jun Hageshii lives for. We've talked about his hatred against the world during this tournament. He hates veterans and legends with a passion. The young and brash man goes out of his way to disrespect them. Not many names in wrestling are bigger than El Loco. The sixteen time Cruiserweight Champion is the most legendary luchadore to come out of Mexico.

SHIMURA: These two crossed paths before. Jun made Loco tap out in an Eight Person Tag Team Match at Puroresu Power – Night Two. Loco looked determined to not let that happen again, but it's hard to maintain that determination in the face of an aggressor like Hageshii.

KURASAWA: Mabuchi Hida had the honor of refereeing this international affair.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Jun stomps on Loco, then bends down to grab his mask! The dojo students jump in to try and pull him away without tearing Loco's mask. Ricky Holt and Teiji Shintaro run to the ring, and Teiji is fully clothed and isn't covered in his own shit for a change.]

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] Holt and Teiji are out here! They're attacking the dojo students! Loco's trying hard to keep his mask on, but now Holt is putting the boots to him as Teiji is chasing the students with that fork he just took out of his pocket!

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] Look! The Doyle Brothers are running out!

[Ricky and Ronnie Doyle slide into the ring and go right at Ricky and Teiji! The two Ricky's trade blows, with Holt getting the advantage. Ronnie tackles Teiji, but the madman bites into his left shoulder and the two tumble through the ropes and to the outside. The dojo students jump on Jun and get him away from Loco, who rolls out of the ring with his mask torn. He covers his face while stumbling to the locker room. The dojo students proceed to break up the brawls between the two tag teams.]

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
John Scroggs vs. Jona Ziesemer

KURASAWA: John Scroggs' memorable bloodbath against Big Ugly on Night Five was an instant classic. The Baltimore native turned his attention to East Berliner Jona Ziesemer, who survived Teiji Shintaro later that night. Scroggs overwhelms opponents with his size and mean streak. Ziesemer is one of the greatest technical wrestlers in the world, and he has one of the boldest minds in the heat of the moment.

SHIMURA: But it's still a mystery as to why he's graying at such a young age! He's a healthy man and an incredible athlete. He's definitely in shape.

KURASAWA: He doesn't seem to be stressed out. Jona either hides it well or this graying is a genetic thing. Kuni Ariwara was the referee for this match.

World Crown 2016 Third Round Match
Nobuyoki Katsushika vs. Curt Fleischer

KURASAWA: This was the rematch of the Grand Opening main event! They fought for the IJPW World Wrestling Championship in their first match. Now they happened to be drawn against each other in the third round of the World Crown tournament. Fleischer added more fuel to the fire by mentioning Katsushika's girlfriend, Sakura Shizuka.

SHIMURA: Who isn't talking shit about Sakura at this point?

KURASAWA: He wasn't talking shit to her, but it was about her. Fleischer said he would show her what a real man looks like after he was done with Katsushika. It's been proven that bringing up the jovial giant's girlfriend will turn him into an angry giant. Cassidy Reischer was the referee for this historic rematch in our main event.

WRAP-UP

KURASAWA: After all of that, Taka and I got in the ring and conducted the draw for the quarter-finals that will take place tomorrow at Budokan. But first, Taka, how did your predictions pan out tonight?

SHIMURA: I had Tsukasa over Dixon, Usami over Deeds, Ricky Doyle over Muffin Vanderburg, AKIO over David Manton, Riddick over Danjuro, Hageshii over El Loco, John Scroggs over Ziesemer, and Fleischer over Katsushika. I was 5-3 tonight. I'm now 39-15-1 in overall tournament predictions.

KURASAWA: Here is the full card for tomorrow's matches on your screen, from first match to last.

QUARTER-FINALS

SATURDAY – NIGHT EIGHT
Nippon Budokan
Tokyo, Japan

Non-Tournament Matches

Singles Grudge Match
Kuni Hishida vs. Fabulous Adrian Bagglio

Tag Team Match
Mallory and Mercy (Mallory Northway and Mercy Monroe) vs. Trans-Pacific Poison (Ginger Mattingly and Nori Imoo)

Singles Grudge Match
Curt Fleischer vs. Sakura Shizuka

Eight Person Tag Team Match
Nate Narwin, Ultraviolence Union (Ricky Holt and Teiji Shintaro), and Isamu Shinagami vs. Trista Capra, El Loco, Jona Ziesemer, and Konosuke Usami

Tournament Matches

Dave Manton vs. Freddy Deeds
Riddick vs. Ricky Doyle
Suda Tsukasa vs. Jun Hageshii
John Scroggs vs. Nobuyoki Katsushika

KURASAWA: Taka, what are your predictions for the non-tournament matches?

SHIMURA: Oh, you didn't say I was going to predict those...

KURASAWA: Take a shot just for fun.

SHIMURA: Okay... FAB over Hishida. Mallory and Mercy over Trans-Pacific Poison. Fleischer over Shizuka. Narwin's team will win the Eight Person Tag Team Match.

KURASAWA: Now for your tournament predictions...

SHIMURA: Deeds over Manton. Ricky Doyle over Riddick.

KURASAWA: Wow...

SHIMURA: It's not too shocking, is it? I think Doyle will turn it up. We have to remember that Riddick put his body through hell for so many years. Here he is competing in big time singles matches night after night in this tournament. Doyle is the younger man. I can state the same reasons for why I'm taking Hageshii over Tsukasa. Hageshii is the younger man. He's riding on his own hatred. Tsukasa isn't in Korakuen Hall anymore. He's much older than Riddick. What's the wear and tear like for him during this marathon of a tournament? And in the main event, I'm going with Katsushika over John Scroggs. Katsushika's matches have been short in this tournament while Scroggs has competed in full blown wars. Katsushika is one of the few guys who is bigger than Scroggs and he is fresher.

KURASAWA: This concludes our seven night residency at Korakuen Hall during the World Crown tournament. Seven straight nights, Taka!

SHIMURA: It's not the biggest venue, but there's a lot of romance to this place. We'll see if it follows Tsukasa to Budokan.

KURASAWA: Join us tomorrow night as our road to the Tokyo Dome takes us to Budokan for the next two nights! It's the quarter-finals and so much more tomorrow night! We'll see you then! Good night from Tokyo!

IJPW World Crown 2016 - Night Six

[The scene opens with an aerial shot of a studio set. There are two men sitting behind a desk. One is Yo Kurasawa - the legendary commentator, notorious pervert, and current Vice President of Talent Relations and Head Booker for Iron Japan. Next to him is Taka Shimura - another veteran voice in puroresu. A video screen is behind them.]

KURASAWA: Welcome to the English language highlight show for Iron Japan Pro Wrestling! This was our sixth straight night at Korakuen Hall and the conclusion of the second round of the World Crown tournament. I'm Yo Kurasawa, and joining me for yet another show is Taka Shimura. We've been calling the live Japanese broadcasts and taping English language highlight shows all week. We've been hard at work, but the men and women of Iron Japan Pro Wrestling are the ones who are putting it all on the line in this ten night marathon.

SHIMURA: Tonight's card featured a mix of legends, rising stars, and we even had a cross-platform entertainer... Well, one on the main card, but we also had one in our dark match. Mercy Monroe was eliminated from the World Crown tournament after losing the Night One main event to Ricky Holt. She took on IJPW dojo student Masuko Matashichi. Nanako Fujioka was the official. It was an intense opening with big strikes from both competitors. Mercy took control after three minutes. There was a ringside brawl at seven minutes in front of Yo and I. That went on for a few minutes and they hit each other with a bunch of chair shots. Masuko got a near fall at 11:30 with powerbomb, but Mercy immediately recovered and used everything in her to hit a Puma Crusher and win at 11:52.

Non-Tournament Tag Team Match

Nate Narwin and Isamu Shinagami vs. Black Thorns (Ashley Thorne and Trista Capra)

KURASAWA: Nate Narwin and Trista Capra's wild brawl in the Night Three main event reached the 30 minute time limit. The infamous hardcore wrestlers were both eliminated from the tournament, but they continued to fight after the bell rung. They were both automatically placed into the IJPW Television Championship match at the Tokyo Dome to crown our first title holder. However, anyone who impresses before that show can find their way into that match. This was an opportunity for Isamu Shinagami and Ashley Thorne to pin or submit one of the competitors in that match and get their foot through the door. Nene Hishikawa was the referee for this match.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Fujimaro Odaka vs. Suda Tsukasa

KURASAWA: Fujimaro Odaka kicked off World Crown 2016 by breaking Michinori Osaragi's neck and putting him out of action for a long time. Odaka hasn't expressed any sympathy since, but he hasn't bragged about it either. Odaka has remained silent. Tonight he took on Suda Tsukasa – the man who has the best win/loss record and more memorable moments than anyone in this building. He is “The King of Korakuen Hall,” and World Crown 2016 might be his farewell run. Can he turn back the clock in the building he's made his own? The referee for this match was Tashiaki Suzuki.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Nobuo Shimizu vs. Freddy Deeds

KURASAWA: Nobuo Shimizu is one of the most dangerous submission experts in the world. He showed that on Night One when he broke Nicki Scherer's arm with a double arm bar and won by submission after just a little over two minutes. He took on the highly-talented Freddy Deeds tonight. Freddy is one-half of the Detroit tag team Rotten Saints. He got into the second round with a victory over Jocelin Masterson on Night Two. The referee for this match was Mabuchi Hida.

POST-MATCH ANALYSIS

KURASAWA: Shimizu has been on both ends of bone breaks now. He had to be stretchered out of the ring. Nobuo was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a broken neck. That's the third broken neck we have seen in six nights.

SHIMURA: And four injuries total that results in missed action. This is the biggest name on the injury list so far.

KURASAWA: We wish Shimizu a quick recovery. There's so many classic matches left in that man. It looks like we'll have to wait awhile before we get another chance to see him bring those to an Iron Japan ring.

SHIMURA: To make things even sadder, Deeds was dancing over Shimizu when Suzuki rang the bell and gave the “X.” He was still dancing when Shimizu was being checked on and hadn't moved. How disrespectful. Shimizu has snapped dozens of bones, but he's always been remorseful after the bell. Deeds showed no respect to a veteran. I can understand that he's hyped up and excited because he won and advances to the third round, but a man might be looking at a year off his career. Disgusting behavior by Deeds.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Jackie Walters vs. Muffin Vanderburg

KURASAWA: These two are still getting used to Japan. Jackie Walters advanced to the second round with a win over Lorie Koenig, while Muffin Vanderburg wrestled later on Night Two and got a big win over Markie Bristow. Muffin is becoming increasingly popular in Japan and in my wank bank.

SHIMURA: Come on, Yo...

KURASAWA: Jackie told Muffin that she was going to kick that famous smile off her face. Was she successful? The official for this match was Jimmy Erikson.

POST-MATCH NEWS

KURASAWA: After the match, Muffin Vanderburg was assaulted in the locker room by the Deadly Three – Lolly, Lainey, and Lorie. Muffin will be okay to compete, but reports say she was attacked with a steel chair and busted open. We don't have any reports on why the Deadly Three attacked her.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Florenza Peretz vs. Riddick

KURASAWA: Italy's Florenza Peretz beat a struggling Sun Demon on Night Two to advance to the second round. Tonight, she was up against a man who struggled for close to a year after returning to professional wrestling. That man also happens to be the most feared and revered gaijin in puroresu – Riddick. A man who is frothing at the mouth at creating a road to destruction in search for a return to glory. Riddick defeated a very credible opponent in “The Eternal Flame” Miyazaki Bokkai in the first round. His second round opponent said Riddick was the biggest match of her career, and she'd love to put Riddick's “big bald head” on her “mantel.” Riddick, in typical Riddick fashion, said it would be the first time an Italian woman has gone hairless on their mantel and told her to buy a razor.

SHIMURA: Which is weird because Italian women shave everything.

KURASAWA: Not their bush.

SHIMURA: I guess you would know. You've done a lot of “research.”

KURASAWA: Indeed... Anyway, the referee for this match was Kanzaburo Outakara.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Ricky Holt vs. Konosuke Usami

KURASAWA: “The General” Ricky Holt was the second member of the Ultraviolence Union on the show. The foul-mouthed and arrogant rookie picked up a massive first round win against “The Queen” Mercy Monroe. He said he would avenge Riddick, who lost to Konosuke Usami in a hard-hitting battle that went over twenty minutes at the Grand Opening. A win here would add to the already impressive list of accomplishments for the young fan favorite, who wants to win World Crown and get another shot at the World title after losing to Katsushika at Puroresu Power. Masanori Katayanagi was the referee for this match.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Usami has disappeared into the locker room. Holt favors his neck while holding a microphone in the middle of the ring.]

HOLT: Okay... So I'm out of the tournament. Fair fucks. Usami's a tough cunt. But ya wanna know what's not fair? Teiji and I weren't in the World Tag Team title tournament at Puroresu Power. That's not fair. We're the best tag team in the world. We're the most feared team in the world. It's fucked up that we didn't get booked in that tournament, and yet you have fucking Trans-Pacific Poison in that shit. I love ya, Ginger... Ginger Mattingly and I go way back, but they didn't belong in that fucking tournament. It's not Ginger's fault. It's that fucking lousy partner she caries. That fucking bitch with the stupid hair and ring gear. Noble Power didn't belong in that tournament either. What a joke team. Some bitch gets her cunt out for the World Champion and that's good enough to call them a tag team fit for that kind of opportunity? Fuck that noise.
[Holt shakes his head.]
Look what happened to Katsushika. His bitch carried his boring ass against Trans-Pacific Poison and he got knocked out by Ronnie Doyle! I fought Ronnie Doyle behind closed doors months ago at what's now the IJPW Dojo. He busted me open and his fists are like baseball bats. I've never been hit that hard in my life, but he didn't fucking knock me out! Fuck Trans-Pacific Poison. Fuck Noble Power. Teiji and I would have won those belts if we were in that tournament.
[Pause.]
Now since Teiji and I are out of the World Crown tournament, we have a chance to focus on the World Tag Team Championship... Doyle Brothers – we're coming for those belts. I don't care if it's at the Tokyo Dome, Budokan, or wherever the fuck. Those belts are coming to the Ultraviolence Union!

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Nobuyoki Katsushika vs. J Murda

KURASAWA: After Ricky Holt's comments, Nobuyoki Katsushika of all people was scheduled to wrestle next. The IJPW World Wrestling Champion's presence presented a tense curiosity, as if everyone in Korakuen Hall expected him to immediately respond to Ricky Holt. Instead, he got on with proceedings. His opponent was J Murda, who violently attacked Kayoko Komon after beating her to advance on Night Three. The referee for this match was Toyoko Toshikura.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Katsushika is alone in the ring with a microphone in hand and the IJPW World Wrestling Championship belt over his shoulder.]

KATSUSHIKA: [In Japanese.] I was listening to Ricky Holt run his mouth in this ring before I came out for my match. I won't stand for what he said about me and Sakura. He said it at Puroresu Power too. I won't listen to it anymore. If you want to fight, Ricky Holt, then I will fight you. I don't care if I have to put my belt on the line to fight you. Sakura doesn't deserve to be talked about like that. And that goes for you too, Vera Yordanka. I read your comments in the press this morning, saying Sakura isn't what she appears. Worry about yourself and how you'll improve after losing to Fleischer. You're better than to go after Sakura because you're jealous of what she has.
[Pause.]
But enough about all of that... Onto the third round! Don't worry, Ronnie Doyle. You're still number one in my queue if I win World Crown! Thank you for the support, everyone!

*** MAIN EVENT ***
World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Mallory Northway vs. Ricky Doyle

KURASAWA: Talk about two people who couldn't be any more different. “The Centerfold” Mallory Northway comes from the Arizona desert. She's a cross-platform superstar and loves the finer things in life. Ricky Doyle comes from the streets of Belfast and is at home in a rustic pub on a cold and wet street. Northway beat Ashley Thorne in the main event on Night Two. Doyle, one-half of the IJPW World Tag Team Champions, defeated “The Hardcore Lumberjack” Paul Cannon before that match. The referee for this main event was Cassidy Reischer.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Ricky Doyle celebrates his victory as Mallory Northway rolls out of the ring and sits on the apron for a moment to collect herself. Doyle now has a World Tag Team Championship belt on his shoulder and a microphone in hand.]

RICKY DOYLE: I heard Ricky Holt was bitching earlier about not bein' in the tag team tournament. Listen, mate... When I don't have any more World Crown matches, then me brudder 'n' I... We'll fight ya lads any feckin' time. Any-feckin'-where.

[Northway steps back into the ring. She reaches through the ropes and gets a microphone from one of the dojo students. Doyle looks at her, confused.]

NORTHWAY: Holt and Shintaro aren't the only ones who should have been in that tournament. Mercy and I should have been in that tournament.

RICKY DOYLE: You two probably hated each other a month ago. Now you're best friends again. You'll hate each other again soon. When was the last time you two even teamed?

NORTHWAY: We have our differences, but we're the best in the world when we're together. We're what's best for the IJPW World Tag Team Championship. Those belts will be on the sets of photo shoots. It will be at parties in Los Angeles and New York. Some of the bi–

RICKY DOYLE: Are ya feckin' kidding me?

NORTHWAY: Some of the biggest celebrities in the world will see it an

RICKY DOYLE: Are ya feckin' kidding me with this shite?

NORTHWAY: It's not “shite.”

RICKY DOYLE: Who gives a feck about everything you just mentioned? You and Mercy are gonna take the belts and feck off back to Los Angeles? Not if me brudder 'n' I have any ting to say about that. How about this... Since none of ya gotta worry about World Crown anymore, how about you 'n' Mercy fight Holt and Shintaro. Winners get a shot at the IJPW World Tag Team Championship.

NORTHWAY: I'm up for it.

[Ricky Holt doesn't waste any time in coming out with a microphone. He stands in the entryway.]

HOLT: Is that what it's gotta take? Yeah, okay! I'll go with that! However Yo Kurasawa over there wants to book it! Ultraviolence Union vs. Mallory and Mercy sometime this week! Korakuen, Budokan, the fucking Tokyo Dome... Teiji and I are up for whatever! We're getting those belts one way or another!

WRAP-UP

KURASAWA: After all of that, Taka and I finally got in the ring to conduct the third round draw. The third round will take place here at Korakuen Hall for the seventh straight night. These are the matches on your screen in order from first on the card to the last...

THIRD ROUND

FRIDAY – NIGHT SEVEN
Korakuen Hall
Tokyo, Japan

Albert Dixon vs. Suda Tsukasa
Freddy Deeds vs. Konosuke Usami
Muffin Vanderburg vs. Ricky Doyle
AKIO vs. Dave Manton
Danjuro Komatsuzaki vs. Riddick
Jun Hageshii vs. El Loco
John Scroggs vs. Jona Ziesemer
Nobuyoki Katsushika vs. Curt Fleischer

KURASAWA: Before we talk about tomorrow's show, Taka, how did you do in your predictions tonight?

SHIMURA: I had Odaka over Tsukasa, Shimizu over Deeds, Muffin over Walters, Riddick over Peretz, Holt over Usami, Katsushika over J Murda, and Ricky Doyle over Northway. I was 4-3 tonight. It was my worst night of predictions, but I still came out with a winning record. I'm now 34-12-1 in overall tournament predictions.

KURASAWA: Who are you taking tomorrow?

SHIMURA: Tsukasa over Dixon.

KURASAWA: You don't think he's too old anymore?

SHIMURA: This is one of the biggest storylines of World Crown. It's the last night of our World Crown residence at Korakuen Hall before moving it all to Budokan for Night Eight and Nine. I didn't think Tsukasa would get this far but here we are... It's Korakuen Hall. It's Suda Tsukasa – the king of this building. Albert Dixon is hated by everyone in Japan at this point, so the whole building and the whole nation will be pulling for Tsukasa to produce some more Korakuen magic in what could be his last match in this building.

KURASAWA: How about your other picks?

SHIMURA: Usami over Deeds. Ricky Doyle over Muffin Vanderburg. Hopefully she's okay after being assaulted by the Deadly Three. AKIO over David Manton. Riddick over Danjuro. Hageshii over El Loco. John Scroggs over Ziesemer. And I might take some heat for this, but I can see Fleischer taking the main event.

KURASAWA: That's a huge match. That was the main event for the Grand Opening. The two matches at the top of the card will be matches everyone will watch. Everyone left in the tournament will be glad to see two of those four big names go.

SHIMURA: Fleischer is mad as hell about not being the first IJPW World Wrestling Champion. Katsushika has his mind on what people are saying about him and Sakura, he's thinking about Ronnie Doyle and Ricky Holt, and now Vera Yordanka because of a comment she made in the press. He better get his mind around quickly because there's a raging wrecking ball coming his way in the form of Curt Fleischer.

KURASAWA: That just about does it for us. We'll be back here at Korakuen Hall for World Crown – Night Seven. It's the third round! For Taka Shimura, I'm Yo Kurasawa. Good night from Tokyo!

IJPW World Crown 2016 - Night Five

[The scene opens with an aerial shot of a studio set. There are two men sitting behind a desk. One is Yo Kurasawa - the legendary commentator, notorious pervert, and current Vice President of Talent Relations and Head Booker for Iron Japan. Next to him is Taka Shimura - another veteran voice in puroresu. A video screen is behind them.]

KURASAWA: Welcome to the English language highlight show for Iron Japan Pro Wrestling! Taka Shimura and I just did the live Japanese language broadcast of World Crown – Night Five! It's been five straight nights at Korakuen Hall and, Taka, we started the second round of the World Crown tournament tonight.

SHIMURA: We witnessed a memorable first round in the four previous nights. Business picked up even more tonight. We had controversy before the main card even started. Albert Dixon was the last name drawn in the second round draw last night. With an odd number of competitors in this round, it meant that the racist ex-cop got a bye into the third round. Tonight, Dixon destroyed IJPW Dojo student Atsumori Nakadai. Nene Hishikawa was the referee. Dixon busted him open 44 seconds in with a solid knuckle arrow to the brow. Nakadai took a beating. Dixon got the pin at 6:29 after a Fire Thunder Driver and a muscle bomb press. It was absolute domination and Nakadai was carried out in a bloody mess.

KURASAWA: Dixon wasn't done. We got footage of him on the microphone after the match...

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Dixon gazes out at the crowd. The former offensive tackle is an intimidating sight. He isn't even breaking a sweat after his mauling of Nakadai.]

DIXON: Is that the best you nips can do? Huh?
[Crowd starts booing.]
Yeah, damn right you know what I'm saying. You can speak my language but I don't give a fuck about yours. I don't have to. I wonder why that is?

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] Dixon with the cheap heat.

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] It's the only heat he knows.

DIXON: Y'all mad at me 'cuz I gotta bye to the third round. Guess what? I deserve a god damn bye after having to fly out to this stupid country. Look at all ya. Nerdy men having sex with robots and women who ain't got any asses. I like a bit of meat on my gals. You Jap women ain't got nothin' for me. Now I'll tell ya what. I'mma go back to my hotel room – the only place in this god damn country I can tolerate 'cuz then I ain't gotta look at any of ya – and I'm gonna watch the third round with a pack of Coors that I brought 'cuz I know ya don't got good beer in this ungodly hell hole.

[Dixon drops the microphone and leaves the ring. He berates people in the crowd on his way to the back.]

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Takamuku Arai vs. AKIO

KURASAWA: Takamuku Arai is the playboy of the sumo world. He's all about fast cars, pretty women, and parties into the early morning hours. Many, including Taka Shimura, thought he wouldn't transition well enough to pro wrestling quick enough to be worthy of the World Crown tournament.

SHIMURA: I was wrong. Arai beat Ronnie Doyle and pulled out moves like he's been doing this for years.

KURASAWA: Arai took on AKIO tonight. AKIO was involved in the post-main event madness last night when Fabulous Adrian Bagglio attacked his life partner, Kuni Hishida. FAB groped her and appeared to have stolen one of Hishida's thongs, as confirmed by AKIO.

SHIMURA: But AKIO didn't look distracted going into this match. He looked more intense than normal, but he didn't show any indication that his mind was elsewhere.

KURASAWA: Mabuchi Hida was the referee for this match.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Raul El Aguila vs. Dave Manton

KURASAWA: Raul El Aguila wrestled last night, so he wasn't as fresh as his opponent, Dave Manton – the man who added to Night One's hefty injury tally by breaking Sandra Paisley's neck with a jumping piledriver. The lucha libre/street fighter hybrid vs. the former beer league hockey player and bouncer from Winnipeg. The official for this match was Masanori Katayanagi.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Danjuro Komatsuzaki vs. Miss Lizzy

KURASAWA: Missy Lizzy beat Tae Muraguchi last night to get into the second round. The Australian took on IJPW Dojo Master Danjuro Komatsuzaki, who voiced incredible frustration after winning his first round match with Selena Martinez. Instead of giving his opponent credit, Danjuro said he's mad at himself for letting Selena hang with him.

SHIMURA: He's too much of a veteran to let it get to him. I get that Selena isn't ever going to be a main eventer, but he should know better than anyone how people can raise their game. He runs a dojo where rookies often raise their game and he watches them raise their game in dark matches.

KURASAWA: Lizzy didn't have anything to say going into this match, whereas she didn't hold back in smack-talking Tae.

SHIMURA: Because Danjuro isn't going to go for Lizzy's typical catfight shit in the press. However, he was also focused on running Markie Bristow into the ground, who he attacked after winning a bet on who would go further in the tournament.

KURASAWA: The referee for this match was Cassidy Reischer.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
KANNON vs. El Loco

KURASAWA: El Loco has been through hell in the last few months. He shut down his gym in Brooklyn after Ricky Holt attacked him in his office, took his mask, and lit his face on fire. The legendary luchadore made his return to the ring at the Grand Opening, but he struggled to win until his first round triumph over Fabulous Adrian Bagglio. Tonight he took on KANNON - “The King of the Dark World” and the Dark World Champion...

SHIMURA: You mentioned Loco getting his face burned by Holt. If you're not familiar with the evil KANNON, you should know that he's known for spitting fireballs in his matches. KANNON hoped to make Loco feel the flames again and bring back those traumatic memories. Loco is no stranger to hard times though. After years of alcohol and drug abuse, one can say that Loco is lucky to even be alive. He's seen it all in his illustrious career.

KURASAWA: The King of the Dark World vs. the sixteen time Cruiserweight Champion. The referee was Tashiaki Suzuki.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Lolly Lea vs. Jun Hageshii

KURASAWA: Lolly Lea made a name for herself in the American indies with her friends, Lainey Boyle and Lorie Koenig. They've dominated every place they've gone to and Lolly's leadership as been a big part of that. Tonight she took on a man who pulled a machete out from under the ring after his first round win against Nori Imoo.

SHIMURA: Lolly was in the same ring with Riddick, Teiji Shintaro, and Ricky Holt at Puroresu Power and lived to tell about it. So she's been in the ring with madmen before, but that was a multi-person tag match. She was all by herself against Jun Hageshii.

KURASAWA: And Hageshii is determined to make the World Crown his own. The referee for this match was Kanzaburo Outakara.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
John Scroggs vs. Big Ugly

KURASAWA: John Scroggs advanced to the second round last night after a stiff war with Stan Ward. Tonight, the Baltimore man took on Detroit's notorious Big Ugly. This wasn't just the bar room and street brawlers of Baltimore and Detroit clashing at Korakuen Hall. It was two of the most feared gaijins clashing in a match that would main event most cards.

SHIMURA: This was an all-out bloodbath. This type of match is what Iron Japan is capable of showcasing when it comes to toughness and brutality.

KURASAWA: Jimmy Erikson officiated this volatile encounter.

World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Jona Ziesemer vs. Teiji Shintaro

KURASAWA: Teiji The Terror brought pure carnage to Korakuen Hall in the first round. He came to the ring through the crowd covered in his own shit, threw chairs at fans, and then shoved his bloody and shitty underwear down Ryuichi Hojo's throat after sitting on his face for the pinfall victory. He went up against Jona Ziesemer tonight – one of the most brilliant technical wrestlers on the planet and a true innovator of the sport.

SHIMURA: We still don't know what's causing his hair to gray at this young age, but I wouldn't be shocked if his hair fell out after having to be in the same ring as Teiji.

KURASAWA: The East Berliner has come across many competitors, but he's never fought someone so brutal. Nanako Fujioka was taxed with referee duties for this match.

POST-MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

[Ziesemer and Fujioka jump out of the ring after the bell. Teiji has taken the fork out of his underwear and is stabbing it into his own forehead.]

KURASAWA: [In Japanese.] Teiji kicked out just a moment too late, but he's not done fighting!

SHIMURA: [In Japanese.] I don't think he's ever done fighting. It was smart for Ziesemer and Fujioka to get out of there. Ziesemer has to keep himself in good enough shape for the third round! He shouldn't fight a psychopath like Teiji any more than he needs to! Look at this man stab himself!

*** MAIN EVENT ***
World Crown 2016 Second Round Match
Vera Yordanka vs. Curt Fleischer

KURASAWA: Vera Yordanka scored a first round win against Ginger Mattingly to advance on Night Three. The Bulgarian punk rocker was seen as someone who could be a surprise in this tournament. Some speculated that Vera could make a deep run if she got the right draws. She got a tough draw for the second round – the mean and nasty Curt Fleischer.

SHIMURA: Fleischer defeated Isamu Shinagami last night in a match that dented Isamu's mystique. A lot of people were worried about what Fleischer could do to Vera tonight. She's the lightest opponent he's ever faced so far and he throws giants around like they're pillows.

KURASAWA: Korakuen Hall was behind Vera, who speaks fluent Japanese and moved here in her late teens to become a wrestler. Vera was the outsider defending Japan against the muscular monster in this main event. Kuni Ariwara was the referee for this match.

WRAP-UP

KURASAWA: Some big names and threats have been eliminated from the tournament. Taka, how did your predictions pan out?

SHIMURA: I had AKIO over Arai, Manton over Raul, Danjuro over Miss Lizzy, KANNON over El Loco, Hageshii over Lolly, Scroggs over Big Ugly, Teiji over Ziesemer, and Fleischer over Vera. I was 6-2 tonight. I am now 30-9-1 in overall tournament predictions.

KURASAWA: Who are you going for tomorrow?

SHIMURA: Odaka over Tsukasa.

KURASAWA: Wow. Odaka over The King of Korakuen Hall in Korakuen Hall?

SHIMURA: Well, Tsukasa isn't getting younger. I'm also taking Shimizu over Deeds, Muffin over Walters, Riddick over Peretz, Holt over Usami, Katsushika over J Murda, and Ricky Doyle over Mallory Northway in the main event.

KURASAWA: There will be one non-tournament match in the main card tomorrow. It's our show opener: Nate Narwin and Isamu Shinagami vs. Black Thorns – Ashley Thorne and Trista Capra. Narwin and Capra are already booked in a match that will determine the first IJPW Television Champion at the Tokyo Dome on Night Ten, but anyone else who impresses can find themselves booked in that match. Can Shinagami or Thorne do something to get into that match?

SHIMURA: Shinagami needs to bounce back badly after getting beat by Fleischer. Losing to Fleischer isn't anything to be ashamed of, but Shinagami needs to restore his mystique quickly.

KURASAWA: The third round draw will be held in the ring after the main event tomorrow. That does it for us tonight. Join us again tomorrow night. We'll be here at Korakuen Hall again for the sixth straight night. For Taka Shimura, I'm Yo Kurasawa. See you tomorrow night for World Crown 2016 – Night Six!

[FADE TO BLACK.]
